Meditation

Every culture has traditions and practices of some form of meditation and reflection. The western world, with its culture of rushing and materialism is losing touch with the spiritual, and is not taking time to slow down. This manifests in growing rates of depression, mental illness, suicide, relationship and family breakdown, family violence and stress related illnesses.

Meditation takes many forms: prayer, yoga, guided meditation, chanting, but it all has the effect of helping us to centre our energy and connect with ourselves, our spirit and God. A practice of stillness, peace, breathing, healing from stress, and being aware of our place in the bigger picture of life, death and the universe. It inspires hope, forgiveness, and tolerance.
